Bouygues Travaux Publics is committed to diversity and is open to all talents.</p> <p>We are currently looking for a Senior Procurement Manager to join us at the Civil Works Alliance (CWA) as we help shape one of the UK’s most significant infrastructure projects — Sizewell C.</p> <p> </p> <p>This is a fantastic opportunity to play a central role in delivering procurement strategy for a low-carbon nuclear power station that will generate electricity for around 6 million homes and support the UK’s transition to a cleaner energy future. Sizewell C isn’t just a project — it’s a legacy, and your expertise will help make it a reality.</p> <p> </p> <p>You’ll be responsible for leading procurement operations that span subcontractors, materials, plant, and services. You’ll work alongside a dedicated team, contribute to building strong supplier relationships, and ensure all procurement activities align with our core commitments — especially local engagement, value for money, and sustainability. </p> <h3> </h3> <h3>Key Responsibilities</h3> <p>As a Procurement Manager within the <strong>CWA supporting Sizewell C</strong>, you’ll be accountable for:</p> <ul> <li> <p><strong>Delivering procurement strategies</strong> in line with project goals and procurement policy</p> </li> <li> <p>Leading the <strong>procurement of subcontractors, materials, plant and services</strong> to meet construction programme requirements</p> </li> <li> <p>Supporting and mentoring procurement professionals across the team, contributing to <strong>team development and capability growth</strong></p> </li> <li> <p>Engaging with the <strong>supply chain</strong> to drive value, ensure ethical practices, and promote local and SME participation</p> </li> <li> <p>Managing market intelligence, risk and opportunity assessments, and supplier performance tracking</p> </li> <li> <p>Maintaining strong, collaborative relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders</p> </li> <li> <p>Ensuring compliance with legislation, nuclear regulations, and SZC’s governance framework</p> </li> <li> <p>Contributing to <strong>Meet the Buyer events</strong> and driving <strong>sustainable, community-focused procurement practices</strong></p> </li> <li> <p>Preparing and delivering accurate <strong>management information and reporting</strong></p> </li> <li> <p>Promoting and modelling a <strong>Zero Harm safety culture</strong></p> </li> </ul> <h3> </h3> <h3><strong>Competencies</strong></h3> <p><strong>Essential:</strong></p> <ul> <li> <p>Strong negotiation and contracting expertise</p> </li> <li> <p>Deep understanding of legal frameworks and procurement best practice</p> </li> <li> <p>Proven ability to manage supplier relationships and drive supply chain value</p> </li> <li> <p>Strategic thinking with practical decision-making under pressure</p> </li> <li> <p>Excellent verbal and written communication</p> </li> <li> <p>Leadership capability to develop a diverse and effective procurement team</p> </li> <li> <p>Experience within the construction industry, ideally in large-scale infrastructure</p> </li> <li> <p>Demonstrated delivery of added value through procurement activity</p> </li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Desirable:</strong></p> <ul> <li> <p>Membership of professional bodies such as <strong>MCIPS</strong>, <strong>CIOB</strong>, or <strong>RICS</strong></p> </li> <li> <p>Understanding of <strong>nuclear sector behaviours</strong>, safety culture, and regulatory frameworks</p> </li> <li> <p>Knowledge of <strong>social value</strong>, <strong>sustainability</strong>, and <strong>community engagement</strong> in procurement</p> </li> <li> <p>Qualifications such as Level 4 Diploma, HNC, or a relevant degree in procurement or construction</p> </li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>If you’re ready to step into a role with impact, purpose, and a clear path for growth, click the link to apply and join us at CWA as we help build Britain’s energy future.</p> <p> </p>
