<p><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">As a global leader in Stainless Steel, we're seeking a dynamic <strong>Lead Electrical Engineer</strong> and be part of our Melt Shop team in Calvert, Mobile County, Alabama.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">Relocation assistance may be offered.</span></span></p> <p style="text-align:justify"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><strong>Objective</strong>: Lead Melt Shop Maintenance engineers, specialists, and electricians to perform all tasks related to maintaining the reliability and safety of the Melt Shop and associated equipment. Will be required to guide them to deliver creative solutions that deliver greater results than that of the standard engineering solutions. There will be time spent researching, and challenging your staff, vendors, and engineering firms to devise original concepts that transform the company to be an industry leader.</span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"> </span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><strong>Requirements:</strong></span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">• Bachelor of Engineering degree with additional certifications or 10 years equivalent work experience </span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">• Master of Engineering degree preferred.</span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">• Experience with Electric Arc Furnaces, Switchgear, Power Distribution, Controls and Control Systems, especially Siemens and Allen-Bradley.</span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">• Advanced Practical understanding of Electrical Drawings and Schematics, as well as related drawings such as Mechanical and Hydraulic.</span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">• PMP/CAPM preferred</span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">• Understanding of Reliability Centered Maintenance programs, has knowledge of predictive maintenance technologies, has an understanding of reliability and asset management</span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">• Advanced troubleshooter of all equipment failures (such as variable frequency drives, motors, transformers, scales, temperature devices, etc.) </span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">• Experience as a project managing, service engineer, or equipment designer is beneficial.</span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">• Knowledge in multiple functional areas including engineering, operations, continuous improvement, project management, capital project, and project budgeting is beneficial.</span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><strong>Skills:</strong></span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">• Ability to effectively communicate plans and new designs to management.</span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">• Has the ability to develop creative solutions to improve asset performance.</span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">• Problem-solving and decision-making skills pertaining to an industrial environment and engineering economics.</span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">• Effective Leadership, communication skills, and has a drive for continuous improvement of themselves as well as others.</span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">• Provides advice and counsel by utilizing knowledge of engineering design principles, practices, project management, and reliability practices.</span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">• Suggests and implements innovative and cost-effective solutions to resolve maintenance/reliability issues.</span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">• Develops and maintains working relationships with manufacturers, vendors, and consulting firms.</span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">• Serves as project manager or the technical lead for continuous improvement projects and capex projects.</span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">• Work with Reliability Engineers to develop long term plans (3-5 years) for capital improvement projects, equipment upgrades, and rebuilds of assets.</span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">• Drives continuous improvement by utilizing Reliability and Maintenance best practices.</span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">• Promotes world class maintenance manufacturing and understands that maintenance, operations, engineering, purchasing, and stores must work closely together to achieve success.</span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">• Manages engineering resources to complete projects and supports the development of the engineering staff.</span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">• Works with the Team to improve equipment reliability and equipment performance.</span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">• Manages overall department projects and provides updates as requested.</span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">• Works with the Engineering Team to ensure critical projects are completed in a timely manner and critical paths of projects and outages are met.</span></p> <p><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><strong>Physical requirements:</strong></span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">• Ability to utilize personal protective equipment (hard hat, safety glasses, steel-toes shoes, goggles, respirator, safety harness, safety line, flotation gear, etc.) safely per OSHA standards </span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">• Must have the ability to climb in a safe manner (climbing as a minimum includes stairs and ramps) same as ability to walk long distances and demonstrate good balance on uneven terrain or maneuvering obstacles</span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">• Ability to withstand exposure to elevated ambient temperature for extended periods of time</span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">• Exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, vibrations, dust and asphalt</span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">• Must be able to work in a high noise environment where the use of hearing protection is required</span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">• Ability to frequently use hand or fingers to handle or feel objects/materials</span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">• Ability to work in areas with strong magnetic fields</span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">• Bend, twist, lift, stand, walk, reach, see, move, and hear as required by specific position </span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">• Ability to frequently reach with hands and arms</span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">• Must be able to communicate utilizing radios, phones and/or intercom systems </span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">• Ability to perform physically demanding work including lifting and/or moving up to 50 lbs. utilizing proper lifting techniques</span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">• Ability to safely use power and hand tools </span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">• Ability to
