These positions will report to our teams in Southfield, MI and Grandville, MI.This role involves overseeing project quality, compliance, budgets, and schedules. This role requires a 4-year degree in engineering or construction management, 5-7 years of relevant professional experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and a proactive commitment to safety. Travel is expected as part of the role as the project manager is on-site at the project location the majority of their time. KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: <ul> <li>Ensure all work is installed and documented per project quality standards.</li> <li>Ensure construction is in compliance with client and company policies, procedures, and standards.</li> <li>Plan, coordinate, and/or manage activities of all company personnel and subcontractors on assigned project(s).</li> <li>Manage and assist in internal and subcontractor: estimates, prepare and review project proposals or plans to determine and establish a time frame, work plan, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing the project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of the project as required.</li> <li>Coordinate the processing of and provide review of submittals and verify compliance with project design.</li> <li>Manage and assist in project budgets required for work.</li> <li>Manage and assist in the project control requirements for the project.</li> <li>Support the weekly and monthly project reports.</li> <li>Assist, oversee and in some cases be directly involved in the preparation of plans, technical specifications, technical reports, submittals, and construction period services.</li> <li>Ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials to the job site by working directly with vendors and subcontractors.</li> <li>Supporting the compiling of all turnover documentation to be included in turnover dossier including O&M manuals as required.</li> <li>Provide advice, guidance, mentoring, and direction to subordinates and other project personnel toward the achievement of their personal development goals.</li> <li>Support and participate in company-sponsored initiatives and activities.</li> <li>Liaising with Client to ensure client satisfaction based on contractual requirements.</li> </ul> REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES <ul> <li>Solar or Wind market project experience highly preferred.</li> <li>4-year Engineering, Construction Management or related degree. </li> <li>5-8 years of relevant professional experience. </li> <li>The ideal candidate will be organized and excel at multitasking while being able to work effectively at performing repetitive tasks while maintaining a high level of concentration.</li> <li>Excellent oral and written communication skills.</li> <li>Experience leading a team of construction staff, subcontractors, engineers/designers.</li> <li>Must be able to work as a team player, independently and learn quickly in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.</li> <li>OSHA 30 Hour preferred.</li> <li>Proactive positive attitude with commitment to safety.</li> </ul> Barton Malow is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, religion, age, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, veteran status, height, weight or marital status.
