<p><img src="https://performancemanager4.successfactors.com/doc/custom/BartonMalowP/jobopeningbannerbartonmalow.jpg"></p><p style="margin:0.0in 0.0in 8.0pt;line-height:107%;font-size:10.0pt;font-family:'URW DIN';color:#00263a"><strong>POSITION SUMMARY</strong></p> <p style="margin:0.0in 0.0in 8.0pt;line-height:107%;font-size:10.0pt;font-family:'URW DIN';color:#00263a">The General Superintendent is responsible for the day-to-day on-site administrative and construction processes for all field-related activities ensuring contractual completion of the various project discipline-specific superintendents to include MEP scopes, civil, controls, and construction.</p> <ul style="margin-top:0.0in;margin-bottom:0.0in" type="disc"> <li style="margin-top:0.0in;margin-right:0.0in;margin-bottom:8.0pt;line-height:107%;font-size:10.0pt;font-family:'URW DIN';color:#00263a">Responsible for overall project safety management and compliance with the applicable Safety and Health Plans which includes reviewing and auditing site specific safety documentation.</li> <li style="margin-top:0.0in;margin-right:0.0in;margin-bottom:8.0pt;line-height:107%;font-size:10.0pt;font-family:'URW DIN';color:#00263a">Lead and oversee field leadership meetings including safety, trade coordination and schedule meetings.</li> <li style="margin-top:0.0in;margin-right:0.0in;margin-bottom:8.0pt;line-height:107%;font-size:10.0pt;font-family:'URW DIN';color:#00263a">Enforce compliance with project procedures, safety program requirements, work rules and specific project/client requirements.</li> <li style="margin-top:0.0in;margin-right:0.0in;margin-bottom:8.0pt;line-height:107%;font-size:10.0pt;font-family:'URW DIN';color:#00263a">Develop and foster effective client and subcontractor relationships.</li> <li style="margin-top:0.0in;margin-right:0.0in;margin-bottom:8.0pt;line-height:107%;font-size:10.0pt;font-family:'URW DIN';color:#00263a">Interface with client representatives, municipal authorities and other contractors on the team as necessary.</li> <li style="margin-top:0.0in;margin-right:0.0in;margin-bottom:8.0pt;line-height:107%;font-size:10.0pt;font-family:'URW DIN';color:#00263a">Communicate and interface with internal Barton Malow Design Management team, Preconstruction and external Engineering to resolve field engineering items.</li> <li style="margin-top:0.0in;margin-right:0.0in;margin-bottom:8.0pt;line-height:107%;font-size:10.0pt;font-family:'URW DIN';color:#00263a">Collaborate with the project management team to implement Execution Plans, project procedures, documentation and adherence to company standards.</li> <li style="margin-top:0.0in;margin-right:0.0in;margin-bottom:8.0pt;line-height:107%;font-size:10.0pt;font-family:'URW DIN';color:#00263a">Responsible for ensuring contractual compliance with contracted and subcontracted parties on site construction related activities.</li> <li style="margin-top:0.0in;margin-right:0.0in;margin-bottom:8.0pt;line-height:107%;font-size:10.0pt;font-family:'URW DIN';color:#00263a">Provide technical assistance, interpretation of drawings, and recommendation of best construction methods.</li> <li style="margin-top:0.0in;margin-right:0.0in;margin-bottom:8.0pt;line-height:107%;font-size:10.0pt;font-family:'URW DIN';color:#00263a">Complete daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports as necessary to document build progress.</li> <li style="margin-top:0.0in;margin-right:0.0in;margin-bottom:8.0pt;line-height:107%;font-size:10.0pt;font-family:'URW DIN';color:#00263a">Review internal Superintendent and Subcontractor field reports.</li> <li style="margin-top:0.0in;margin-right:0.0in;margin-bottom:8.0pt;line-height:107%;font-size:10.0pt;font-family:'URW DIN';color:#00263a">Partner with Internal Commissioning and oversee and direct the final construction documentation turnover process to clients; this includes turnover to clients or internal startup teams.</li> <li style="margin-top:0.0in;margin-right:0.0in;margin-bottom:8.0pt;line-height:107%;font-size:10.0pt;font-family:'URW DIN';color:#00263a">Enforce compliance with project Quality Management processes.</li> <li style="margin-top:0.0in;margin-right:0.0in;margin-bottom:8.0pt;line-height:107%;font-size:10.0pt;font-family:'URW DIN';color:#00263a">Partner with Trade Directors on craft supervision and project staffing as necessary.</li> </ul> <p style="margin:0.0in 0.0in 8.0pt;line-height:107%;font-size:10.0pt;font-family:'URW DIN';color:#00263a"><br><strong>REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:</strong></p> <ul style="margin-top:0.0in;margin-bottom:0.0in" type="disc"> <li style="margin-top:0.0in;margin-right:0.0in;margin-bottom:8.0pt;line-height:107%;font-size:10.0pt;font-family:'URW DIN';color:#00263a">Minimum of 15 plus years of experience including large-scale Thermal Energy market construction.</li> <li style="margin-top:0.0in;margin-right:0.0in;margin-bottom:8.0pt;line-height:107%;font-size:10.0pt;font-family:'URW DIN';color:#00263a">Experience leading multiple successful teams including development of direct reports and maintaining relationships with trade partners, clients and other parties.</li> <li style="margin-top:0.0in;margin-right:0.0in;margin-bottom:8.0pt;line-height:107%;font-size:10.0pt;font-family:'URW DIN';color:#00263a">The ability to manage and embrace change.
