About this role
<p><strong>Your role:</strong></p> <ul> <li>To review available sources, conduct trade enquiries, invite tenders, evaluate offers and recommend awards in the best interest of the Company.</li> <li>To ensure quotations/tenders are properly evaluated, and to approve acceptance of those in accordance with the authorization limit.</li> <li>To ensure purchase orders are properly placed and endorse those in accordance with the authorization gird.</li> <li>To negotiate contracts for the supply of goods and services tactfully and to ensure agreements reached contain terms and conditions not disadvantageous to the Company.</li> <li>To negotiate with suppliers/contractors for better terms and conditions in the supply of goods and services.</li> <li>To ensure contracts/supply agreements are accomplished within the scheduled time frame.</li> <li>To analyze and prepare preliminary commercial evaluation of offers.</li> <li>To assist the Purchasing Manager in the administration and running of a buying team.</li> <li>To supervise the daily work of subordinates and resolve problems as appropriate.</li> <li>To take up any other duties as assigned by management.</li> <li><strong><em>Immediate availability</em></strong><strong> is preferred</strong></li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>To succeed in this role:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Holder of Associate Degree or Degree holder in IT, Procurement and Supply Chain, or other relevant discipline.</li> <li>Minimum 3 years’ purchasing experience in a sizable organization.</li> <li><strong>It is advantageous to have experience dealing with key stakeholders from the facility management department.</strong></li> <li>Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua).</li> <li>Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.</li> <li>Proficiency in PC applications including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.</li> <li>Self-motivated, ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.</li> </ul>
