The Substations North department is involved in the following activities:</span></p> <p> </p> <ul> <li><span>Commissioning, maintenance, and specialised work on GIS (Gas Insulated Switchgear) installations, including organising and monitoring specific tasks with external contractors.</span></li> <li><span>Maintenance of AIS (Air Insulated Switchgear) installations equipped with older-generation circuit breakers.</span></li> <li><span>Specific work on transformers, such as the revision/upgrade of On Load Tap Changers, audits of existing transformers, performing electrical measurements on transformers (preventively or curatively after an incident), and supervising and monitoring transformer-related work by external contractors (repairs, oil treatments, retrofits, decommissioning, etc.)</span></li> <li><span>Additionally, Substations North actively participates in the development and commissioning of new technologies. The department is also involved in designing new maintenance work methods.</span></li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><span>Substations North operates installations spread around the service centers in Merksem, Stalen, Schaarbeek-Noord, Lendelede, and Lochristi. We aim to deploy our teams in either the Antwerp-Limburg-Flemish Brabant region or the West and East Flanders region.
