About this role

<p><strong>About the Role:</strong></p> <p>As Project Manager, you will lead the planning, coordination, and supervision of shipbuilding projects from inception through to completion.</p> <p>Play a pivotal role in ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. </p> <p>Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, procurement, production, and quality assurance to facilitate seamless project progress.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Develop comprehensive project plans outlining scope, objectives, milestones, deliverables, and resource allocation specific to shipbuilding initiatives.</li> <li>Manage project execution by coordinating activities, tracking progress, and ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.</li> <li>Lead risk management efforts, identifying potential issues and implementing effective mitigation strategies to minimise impact on project delivery.</li> <li>Maintain clear and proactive communication with internal teams, external contractors, and stakeholders to ensure alignment and timely resolution of challenges.</li> <li>Oversee procurement activities to secure necessary materials and services, ensuring compliance with quality standards and contractual agreements.</li> <li>Conduct regular project status reviews and prepare detailed reports for senior management and clients, highlighting progress and any critical concerns.</li> <li>Ensure health, safety, and environmental practices are integrated into project workflows and adhered to at all times.</li> <li>Promote continuous improvement by evaluating project outcomes and applying lessons learned to future initiatives.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Possess at least 8-10 years proven experience in project management within the marine or shipbuilding industry, ideally working on complex engineering projects.</li> <li>Strong knowledge of shipbuilding processes, standards, and technical specifications.</li> <li>Excellent organisational and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and diverse teams effectively.</li> <li>Proficient in project management tools and software, capable of generating detailed project schedules and reports.</li> <li>Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, enabling clear dialogue with stakeholders at all levels.</li> <li>Demonstrated capability to manage budgets, contracts, and supplier relationships with precision and professionalism.</li> <li>Committed to upholding safety regulations and fostering a culture of compliance and responsibility on site.</li> <li>Relevant project management certification (e.g., PMP or equivalent) is highly desirable.</li> </ul> <div> <p><strong>Knowledge &amp; Skills:</strong></p> <ul style="list-style-type:square"> <li>Proficient in using MS Office suite</li> <li>Proficiency in Primavera P6 will be an advantage</li> <li>Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills</li> <li>Project Management experience is required</li> <li>Engineering Knowledge</li> <li>Production / Manufacturing process</li> <li>Commercial / Financial budgeting control</li> <li>Ship Repair Manager (SRM) certification is desired</li> </ul> <p><strong>Other Information:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Location: 16 Benoi Road (Island-wide transport provided)</li> <li>5 days work week</li> <li>Working Hours: 7.25am-5pm</li> </ul> </div>
