You’ll be at the forefront of revolutionising food production, creating healthier and more environmentally friendly protein sources. </p> <p>Located near Burraboi in southern New South Wales, JBS Australia’s Yambinya feedlot is a premier facility with a licensed capacity of 12,000 beef cattle and 45,000 lambs. Acquired in 2009, Yambinya is renowned for its Portoro Natural grain program, producing sustainable, hormone-free, GMO-free, and antibiotic-free beef. This feedlot plays a crucial role in JBS's high-end beef production, ensuring top-quality grain-fed cattle for discerning markets. Hands to join our Livestock Team, working a 10 on / 4 off roster. </p> <p><strong>NOTE:</strong><em> </em>Roster may vary depending on the season/weather conditions and changes are at the discretion of the business.</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li> <p>Daily livestock handling including stock movements, trough/pen cleaning and maintenance, induction process, and incoming/outgoing stock movements </p> </li> <li> <p>Diagnosis of animal health symptoms</p> </li> <li> <p>Administration of animal health treatments including accurate record keeping</p> </li> <li> <p>Maintaining compliance with JBS Australia Policies, including but not limited to: WHS, HR, QA, and Animal Welfare & Environmental Obligations</p> </li> </ul> <p><strong>Criteria:</strong></p> <ul> <li> <p>Previous experience working with livestock</p> </li> <li> <p> Preferred Good Working Dogs both cattle and lambs ( Not Essential)</p> </li> <li> <p>Preferred Access to Suitable Horses and Tack (Not Essential)</p> </li> <li> <p>Communication, organisational & interpersonal skills</p> </li> <li> <p>Strong commitment to animal welfare, health and nutrition</p> </li> <li> <p>Demonstrated ability to work well within a team environment</p> </li> <li> <p>Ability & willingness to learn new skills</p> </li> </ul> <p><strong>Benefits:</strong></p> <ul> <li style="list-style-type:none"> <ul> <li> <p>Single Accommodation available</p> </li> </ul> </li> </ul>
