This role provides advanced technical expertise in chemical safety, industrial hygiene, and process safety management (PSM) to support complex research, development, and operational activities. Key Responsibilities <ul> <li>Lead implementation and sustainment of site EHS programs, including LOTO, machine guarding, chemical safety, confined space, electrical safety, PPE, and MOC.</li> <li>Advance Process Safety Management (PSM) principles across operations.</li> <li>Provide technical oversight for process and innovation activities to assess hazards and risks.</li> <li>Serve as a subject matter expert in chemical and process safety.</li> <li>Lead or facilitate Process Hazard Analyses (PHA).</li> <li>Support incident investigations and process safety events.</li> <li>Support SDS approvals and laboratory chemical safety requirements.</li> </ul> Day-to-Day Responsibilities <ul> <li>Evaluate equipment, processes, and chemical applications to identify risks and recommend controls.</li> <li>Support PSM elements, including PHA, MOC, and PSI.</li> <li>Conduct chemical safety assessments, including exposure potential evaluations.</li> <li>Support industrial hygiene efforts, including exposure recognition and mitigation.</li> <li>Mentor junior staff and technical teams.</li> <li>Support audits and maintain compliance readiness.</li> <li>Deliver training on chemical and process safety requirements.</li> <li>Support change management processes.</li> <li>Drive continuous improvement.</li> <li>Engage employees and leaders to strengthen safety culture.</li> </ul> Required Skills <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree or higher in Industrial Safety, Safety Sciences, Safety Management, Engineering, or a related field.</li> <li>At least 10 years of experience in EHS, industrial hygiene, process safety, or industrial operations.</li> <li>Proficiency in Microsoft 365.</li> <li>Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills.</li> <li>Knowledge of PSM, MOC, and risk assessment methods.</li> <li>Understanding of machine safeguarding and energy control.</li> </ul> Desired Skills <ul> <li>Strong background in chemical safety and industrial hygiene.</li> <li>Experience facilitating PHA.</li> <li>Knowledge of GHS and SDS systems.</li> <li>Understanding of chemical compatibility and storage.</li> <li>Knowledge of NFPA 30 and NFPA 400.</li> <li>Experience with EHS systems, such as Gensuite.</li> <li>Strong communication skills.</li> </ul> This position does not support immigration sponsorship. The range for this position is $88,484.00 - $121,666.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
