Through these efforts, IT helps to improve the competitive position of Corning's businesses through IT enabled processes. IT also delivers Information Technology applications, infrastructure, and project services in a cost efficient manner to Corning worldwide.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><strong>Position Summary </strong></span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">The IT Engineer will provide end‑to‑end IT technical support for the Pune plant, ensuring reliable operation of manufacturing and business systems. This role supports both project and steady state environments, contributes to system improvements, and partners closely with plant stakeholders, site leadership, and corporate IT teams. sans-serif"><strong>Key Responsibilities :</strong></span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Operational & Technical Support</span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">- Provide day‑to‑day IT technical support for plant systems and users.</span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">- Analyze issues, identify root causes, and implement effective and sustainable solutions.</span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">- Respond to customer requests and incidents within defined service levels.</span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">- Ensure confidentiality, integrity, and protection of information and systems.</span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Project & Process Improvement</span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">- Participate in and lead local IT projects, including plant build and Greenfield initiatives.</span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">- Represent IT interests in cross‑functional project teams (e.g., manufacturing, warehouse, commercial systems).</span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">- Create, document, and maintain IT processes, applications, and solutions.</span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">- Conduct and coordinate quality assurance and user acceptance testing.</span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">- Identify opportunities to improve process efficiency and system performance.</span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Collaboration & Communication</span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">- Interact effectively with plant users, site leadership, and division/corporate IT teams.</span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">- Provide periodic written and verbal status updates to stakeholders.</span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">- Mentor technicians and train new personnel on standard operating procedures.</span><br><span helvetica, sans-serif"><strong>Required Experience </strong></span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">- 3–5 years of relevant IT experience.</span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">- Experience working in a manufacturing or plant environment.</span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">- Hands‑on experience supporting and delivering IT projects.</span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">- Exposure to plant build and/or Greenfield projects.</span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">- Proven problem‑solving skills in critical operational environments.</span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.</span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.</span></p> <p><span style="font-family:arial,
