The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise across both areas, operates with a <span>service management mindset</span>, is comfortable leveraging modern <span>AI-powered tools</span> to work more effectively, and collaborates closely with the <span>CORE SAP S/4HANA Program</span> and <span>global IT Operations teams</span>.</p> <hr> <h2>Your Tasks and Responsibilities</h2> <h3>1. CORE BTP Operations</h3> <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li>Administer and operate the <span>SAP BTP environment</span> as the primary responsibility of this role.</li> <li>Manage: <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li>subaccounts</li> <li>entitlements</li> <li>service provisioning</li> <li>identity and access management</li> <li>platform monitoring</li> </ul> </li> </ul> <h3>2. CORE Basis Operations</h3> <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li>Manage and administer <span>SAP S/4HANA Basis components</span>, including: <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li>system monitoring</li> <li>performance tuning</li> <li>job scheduling</li> <li>output management</li> <li>troubleshooting</li> </ul> </li> <li>Ensure alignment with <span>RISE with SAP</span> standards and services.</li> <li>Oversee system performance and availability by proactively identifying and resolving issues to maintain a stable and reliable SAP environment.</li> </ul> <h3>3. Security & Compliance</h3> <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li>Ensure SAP system configurations and operations adhere to: <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li>internal security policies</li> <li>compliance requirements</li> <li>audit standards</li> </ul> </li> <li>Maintain a secure and controlled SAP environment.</li> </ul> <h3>4. Lifecycle Management</h3> <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li>Plan and execute: <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li>system upgrades</li> <li>refreshes</li> <li>patches</li> <li>migration activities</li> <li>system copies</li> </ul> </li> <li>Follow best practices and minimize downtime during all lifecycle activities.</li> </ul> <h3>5. Service Management</h3> <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li>Take ownership of <span>SAP Basis and BTP-related incidents, service requests, and changes</span>.</li> <li>Actively investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in alignment with <span>ITIL-based service management practices</span>.</li> <li>Ensure timely resolution and adherence to <span>SLA commitments</span>.</li> <li>Serve as an escalation point for complex technical issues.</li> <li>Drive <span>root cause analysis</span> and ensure permanent resolution through structured problem management.</li> </ul> <h3>6. Improvement & Innovation</h3> <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li>Proactively identify risks, gaps, and improvement opportunities across the SAP landscape and BTP platform.</li> <li>Propose and drive solutions rather than waiting for direction.</li> <li>Design and continuously improve <span>system maintenance and management concepts</span> for SAP S/4HANA and SAP BTP.</li> <li>Design, implement, and continuously improve <span>automation solutions</span> to: <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li>reduce manual effort</li> <li>increase reliability</li> <li>improve operational efficiency across Basis and BTP operations</li> </ul> </li> <li>Implement and manage <span>system archiving processes</span>, including <span>OpenText Archiving & Document Management</span>, to optimize system performance and storage utilization.</li> </ul> <h3>7. Collaboration & Enablement</h3> <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li>Collaborate closely with the <span>CORE SAP S/4HANA Program</span> and <span>IT Operations teams</span> to ensure platform and system stability, performance, and operational excellence.</li> <li>Support effective cross-functional coordination across program, operations, and service partners.</li> <li>Contribute as a technical enabler and trusted expert across Basis and BTP topics.</li> </ul> <hr> <h2>Preferred Candidate Profile</h2> <h3>Experience & Expertise</h3> <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li>Strong experience in <span>SAP Basis administration</span> and <span>SAP BTP administration</span>.</li> <li>Proven hands-on experience in managing SAP S/4HANA landscapes hosted on <span>RISE with SAP</span>.</li> <li>Solid understanding of: <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li>SAP system monitoring</li> <li>performance management</li> <li>upgrades and patches</li> <li>system copies and refreshes</li> <li>incident, change, and problem management</li> </ul> </li> <li>Strong expertise in <span>SAP BTP platform operations</span>, including subaccounts, entitlements, security, provisioning, and
