<p><br><strong>RWE Americas, LLC</strong><br><strong>To start as soon as possible, full time, permanent</strong><br><br><strong>Functional area:</strong> Operations &amp; Maintenance<br><strong>Remuneration: </strong>Non-Exempt</p> <p> </p><p><span style="">The <strong>Solar Farm Technician II </strong>is responsible for performing preventative and corrective maintenance across all scopes of an operating power plant. This includes civil, mechanical, and electrical inspection and repair, as well as instrumentation and control (I&amp;C). The role also involves operational duties such as monitoring, controlling, and trending, ensuring proactive work to maximize productivity and generation with a focus on safety and maximizing generation, and ensuring proactive work is prioritized and completed.</span></p> <p> </p> <p><span style=""><strong>Role Responsibilities:</strong></span></p> <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li style=""><span style="">Test, maintain, and troubleshoot solar PV electrical and mechanical equipment</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Ensure that all tasks are performed safely and by site operating procedures</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Complete Lock-Out-Tag-Out (LOTO), JSA’s, Permit to Work, and job-specific documentation that is required to conduct inspection, maintenance, and repairs in a safe manner</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Proactively look for improvement opportunities to job job-appropriate processes and procedures</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Perform data collection and prepare reports to meet reporting requirements</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Perform balance of plant and switchyard work as required</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Monitor the activities of maintenance contractors and ensure corrective actions where appropriate</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Perform electrical testing as necessary, including insulation and thermal testing</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Document all work and generate reports as necessary</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Use Microsoft Office for communication, presentation, and documentation</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Use computer software in support of maintenance and troubleshooting</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Identify gaps in safety standards and safety risks in the environment</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">At times, may assist with BOP activities</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Respond quickly to emergencies or situations requiring immediate troubleshooting and corrective actions</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Ensure site access, site HSE, security, deliveries, and inspections are performed by site protocols</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Interface with any 3rd party contractors working at our facilities</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Available to respond to nontraditional operating hours for operations, maintenance, and emergent issues, including emergent abnormal operating conditions, execution of maintenance, tracking work orders, resolution of O&amp;M issues</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Operate mobile equipment, including mowers, forklifts, tractors, excavators, and motor vehicles</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Professionally represent the company with contractor and vendor relations, as well as during partnership opportunities within the community</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">All other duties as assigned</span></li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><span style=""><strong>Job Requirements and Experiences:</strong></span></p> <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li style=""><span style="">High School diploma or equivalent required</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">An Associate degree in Engineering or a related field from an accredited US school other than correspondence or internet is preferred</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Current Nevada State PV Installers licence</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">NABCEP Certfication or Electrical License preferred</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">An unrestricted driver&apos;s license in good standing required</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Minimum 2 years’ work experience as a maintenance electrician (commercial or industrial), or 4 years of experience as a multi-craft maintenance technician performing electrical work on operating equipment; or 2 years’ experience in operations and maintenance of power generation, transmission, or distribution</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Experience in solar operations and maintenance a plus</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Skilled in power plant operations, electrical and mechanical equipment maintenance as well as substation maintenance</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Must be competent in power plant safety protocols</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Must be competent in electrical safety</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Must be competent in understanding the NEC</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Knowledge of and experience with the use of hand and power tools</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Knowledge of environmental and safety policies and procedures</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Ability to work within tight deadlines and evolving schedules</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Ability and willingness to travel to and from job sites as assigned, including supporting other sites</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Ability to work independently and as part of a team</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Routine operation of a computer/tablet and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Strong communication skills, both written and verbal</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Complete required training in a satisfactory manner and timeframe</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">First aid/CPR/AED</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">OSHA Certified</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Shift work</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Responds well to direction, is easy to challenge and develop, and is coachable and trainable</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Adaptive to new technologies and methods</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Ability to take ownership of responsibilities and look beyond the work task concerning discovering new opportunities for corrective work</span></li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><span style=""><strong>Physical Requirements:</strong></span></p> <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li style=""><span style="">This position is a field-based role that involves some travel and visits to other RWE Americas offices and field locations</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Ability to work in extreme weather conditions</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Ability to walk, climb, and stand extensively during the work day</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Ability to push/pull/lift tools and equipment weighing up to and over 50 lbs.</span></li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><span style=""><em>Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
