About this role

Qualification Minimum 16 years of education from HEC recognized institutions in Project Management / B.Sc. Engineering / MBA / MPA / MBBS / MPH, Master or BS (4 years) degree in Economics or any other relevant field, depending upon the nature and requirement of the project. Five additional marks shall be awarded to candidates possessing Master degree in Project Management. Three additional marks shall be awarded for national / international diploma course in Project Management. Experience Minimum five (05) years’ experience in public sector project management or implementation, with sound knowledge of project management and fundamentals. Preference will be given to candidates who have successfully implemented and completed public or private sector projects of similar nature. Age Limit Maximum sixty-two (62) years on the date of appointment Terms of Reference (TORs) The Project Director shall be responsible for the following: Details of the outputs required from the Project Director should be clearly spelled out which, inter alia, may include the following: (i) Prepare Cash/ work plan before the start of the financial year and open/manage bank accounts of the project (ii) Update project progress in PMES/iPAS system and prepare/submit regular (quarterly and annually) project progress reports in the prescribed manner and format; including recommended actions for decision-making. Work effectively and harmoniously with the project stakeholders (including external partners) as well as with the project staff. Develop performance indicators of project staff and review their performance periodically. (iii) Ensure delivery of project results by arranging resources for the project and coordinate with relevant stakeholders (iv) Establish and maintain custody of all project documents, project accounts, assists, record, audit report and hire team members etc. (v) Prepare and submit project status and completion reports (PC III-IV). (vi) Project Director would be held accountable for any lapses in the exercise of his/her administrative, functional, and financial powers. (vii) As a team leader, he/she would be obligated to account for all actions, steps and decisions taken during project execution. (viii) Project Director would be responsible for supervision of project activities including troubleshooting and best efforts to resolve day-to-day implementation problems independently within the administrative and financial powers delegated to him/her. If necessary, he/she may seek help from the federal ministry, division or provincial government concerned for resolving the issue or problem. (ix) The Project Director will establish office as close to the worksite possible, preferably on-site, to ensure availability for making spot decisions on unforeseen issues and other ancillary matters.
