About this role

Age Up to 55 years Qualification: Minimum 16 years of education from an HEC recognized university or reputable international university in Engineering (Electrical / Electronic / Microelectronics / Semiconductor Technology)/Computer Science / ICT/Engineering Management/ Management Sciences/ Business Administration/ Education/ Human Resource Development/ Economics/ Public Administration/ or a closely related discipline. Candidates possessing 18 years of education (MS / MPhil) or PhD in Microelectronics, Semiconductor Technology, Electrical / Electronic Engineering/ ICT/ Engineering Management/Human Resource Development or a closely related discipline will be considered an advantage. International certifications in Workforce Development, Technical Education, Career Services Management, or Project Management will be considered an advantage. Experience Minimum 12 years of post-qualification professional experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial role, managing training programs, workforce development initiatives, placement programs, or capacity building projects in the technology, engineering, or industrial sectors. Candidates possessing 18 years of education (MS / MPhil) or PhD in relevant disciplines may be considered with a minimum of 10 years of post-qualification experience, provided they demonstrate substantial experience in managing similar programs. Experience in collaborating with industry partners, universities, and international organizations for workforce development initiatives will be considered an advantage. Experience in designing or managing structured job placement programs, industry engagement initiatives, or Very Large Scale Integrated Circuit (VLSI) training programs linked with national, donor funded, or industrial projects will be considered an advantage. Demonstrated experience in developing industry partnerships to facilitate internships, apprenticeships, or job placements will be considered an advantage. Familiarity with placement tracking systems, job matching platforms, or labor market analytics tools will be considered an advantage. Key Skills Strategic planning and execution of workforce development, training, and placement programs in VLSI technology or engineering sectors. Strong understanding of Semiconductor technology sector workforce needs and employment trends. Excellent networking and partnership building skills with Semiconductor industry employers, academia, and Semiconductor product development (SW Tools, Service Providers, IP providers) partners. Ability to design and manage job readiness, internship, apprenticeship, and employment placement pipelines. Proficiency in data driven placement tracking, reporting systems, and program monitoring. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement training and placement strategies to support workforce development objectives of the National Semiconductor HR Development Program. Lead the design and delivery of job readiness initiatives, career counseling frameworks, and industry engagement programs in collaboration with training partners and relevant stakeholders. Build and maintain strategic partnerships with national and international industry partners, universities, and employers to facilitate internships, apprenticeships, and employment opportunities. Oversee implementation of placement tracking systems and mechanisms to monitor employment outcomes, employer engagement, and program performance. Conduct periodic assessments and employer feedback mechanisms to strengthen alignment between training programs and industry workforce requirements. Ensure achievement of placement related targets and performance indicators under the project implementation plan. Supervise and guide the placement and training coordination teams to ensure effective program delivery.
