About this role

The Design Thinking Coach would lead our efforts in embedding design thinking methodologies across our organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for guiding teams through the design thinking process, facilitating workshops, and coaching individuals and teams to foster a user-centric approach to problem-solving and innovation. Key Responsibilities: Facilitate design thinking workshops and training sessions for teams across various departments, enhancing their problem-solving and innovation skills. Coach teams in applying design thinking methodologies to real-world projects, ensuring a user-centric approach in product and service development. Collaborate with project teams to define challenges, empathize with users, ideate solutions, prototype concepts, and test for effectiveness. Develop and refine tools, processes, and best practices for implementing design thinking in the organization. Advocate for user needs and experience throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring that solutions are not only feasible and viable but also desirable from a user perspective. Guide teams in empathetic research techniques, including user interviews, surveys, and observational studies. Collaborate with leadership to integrate design thinking into the organization's culture and strategy. Measure and report on the impact of design thinking initiatives, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement. Stay current with the latest trends and advancements in design thinking, human-centered design, and related fields. Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, Psychology, Business, or a related field. Experience At least 5 years’ experience experience as a Design Thinking Consultant, Coach, or Facilitator, with a strong portfolio of workshop facilitation and training. Skills and Competencies Deep knowledge of design thinking, human-centered design, and innovation methodologies. Excellent facilitation, coaching, and interpersonal skills. Strong empathetic and listening skills, with the ability to understand and articulate user needs. Experience in guiding teams through all stages of the design thinking process. Strong problem-solving abilities and a creative mindset. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Preferred Skills: Experience in a variety of industries and with diverse teams. Certification in Design Thinking or Human-Centered Design. Background in user experience design or research is a plus.
