The Principal Backend Developer will play a pivotal role in our software development efforts. The candidate will be responsible for developing robust backend solutions, overseeing middleware, managing databases, and providing guidance and mentorship to other senior and junior developers within our development squads. Key Responsibilities: Design and implement scalable and efficient backend systems, ensuring the robustness and reliability of applications. Lead the development and integration of middleware solutions to facilitate seamless data exchange and application functionality. Manage database design, development, and optimization, ensuring data integrity and performance. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development squads, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, provide technical insights, and contribute to strategic technology decisions. Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in backend development, middleware, and database management. Establish and enforce coding standards and best practices, ensuring high-quality code across all projects. Conduct code reviews, lead technical discussions, and troubleshoot complex issues. Drive innovation by exploring and implementing new technologies and frameworks. Contribute to the continuous improvement of the software development lifecycle process. Qualifications: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. Experience At least 5 years of experience in backend development, with expertise in languages such as Java, C#, and Python. Should be familiar with Java Springboot and Quarkus Frameworks, as well ad .NET Entity Framework. Proven experience in middleware and database management, including SQL and NoSQL databases. Strong knowledge of software architecture, design patterns, and best practices. Excellent leadership and mentorship skills, with the ability to guide and inspire development teams. Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile teams. Skills & Competencies Exceptional problem-solving abilities and analytical skills. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Preferred Skills: Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes). Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. Contributions to open-source projects or active participation in developer communities.
