About this role

Fixed Salary -Rs. 218,750 per month (plus permissible benefits) Age Limit -30 to 50 years Qualification 16 years of education in Microelectronics, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, ICT, Engineering Management, HR Development, Technical Education, or related technical field from an HEC-recognized or reputable international university. Certifications in Workforce Development, or Career Services Management will be considered an advantage. Experience Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience in managing, technical capacity building, career development, or placement initiatives within the semiconductor, electronics, ICT, or advanced manufacturing sectors. Preferred exposure to: Working with national/international technology employers on internship and job placement programs. Using job matching platforms, placement tracking systems, and labor market analytics. Collaborating with universities, technical institutes, and industry partners for placement initiatives. Key Skills Strong communication, networking, and stakeholder engagement. Ability to design and execute technical training and career development programs. Proficiency in data analysis, placement tracking systems, and job-matching platforms. Coordination across academia, industry, and government bodies for workforce employment. Project and event management related to placement drives, job fairs, and internship programs. Key Responsibilities Assist the Director in designing and implementing national-level placement strategies aligned with semiconductor industry needs. Supervise the placement of trained resources, monitor progress, and evaluate effectiveness. Develop and manage placement tracking systems to monitor, placement rates, and employer satisfaction. Coordinate with stakeholders to deliver high-impact internship, and employment services. Prepare periodic reports for MoITT, PSEB, Planning Commission, and other stakeholders on placement outcomes. Identify risks related to placement activities and contribute to contingency plans. Support senior management in securing placement opportunities and ensuring optimal employment outcomes for program graduates. Performance-based Increment 5% annual increment subject to achievement of KPIs and overall performance as per approved plan. Placement Rate-At least 70% of trained graduates placed in relevant jobs or internships within 6 months. Employer Satisfaction-75% employer satisfaction rating for placed candidates. Industry Collaboration-Contribution to at least 3 new partnerships/MoUs for placement annually. Tracking System-100% of placement data updated quarterly in tracking system.
