Please note: at this stage, the role is open only to colleagues currently employed within Kent and Medway NHS Trusts, the Kent and Medway Integrated Care Board (ICB) and Medway Community Healthcare. Nursing vacancies are also open to Student Nurses and Newly Qualified Nurses.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and adaptable LARC Specialist Nurse to join our Outstanding Sexual Health Service.
Our team delivers high-quality evidence-based care to people to support their sexual health needs. You'll be part of an enthusiastic and passionate team dedicated to keeping people in Kent and Medway safe and well, now and in later life, by providing contraception, treatment for sexually-transmitted infections, and advice and support to maintain healthy relationships.

Main duties of the job
You will need to use innovative thinking to create new possibilities and ideas around increasing the uptakeof LARC within Medway with the support of the LARC administrative secretary. The work will require bothindependent and team work, and you will be expected to keep records and data in order to provide reports and evidence that supports your activity within the LARC programme.
In addition to clinical responsibilities, you will be expected to undertake non-clinical duties including providesupport and training to a variety of professionals, individual and small and large group presentation work.This will necessitate the need to remain constantly professionally updated. You will also need to be veryflexible in order to facilitate working alongside other professionals, at times and places that are accessibleto them, including some evening and weekend working.

Evidence (LOC) insertion and removal of subdermal implants and intrauterine methods Minimum of 3 years' experience within your area of practice/public health environment Experience managing complex caseloads and supporting/ mentoring others
