About this role

The Role

We are seeking an Education Liaison Adviser to join the Education Liaison and Outreach Team. Working in collaboration with colleagues in the team and across Kingston University, you will develop, deliver and evaluate a range of high-quality activity focused on supporting groups underrepresented in Higher Education to access university, specifically those outlined in our Access and Participation Plan and Schools and Colleges Strategy.

Projects include subject specific activity and events, plus sustained activity working with target groups, that will be delivered to target schools, colleges and community groups on campus, at external sites (e.g. in school) or virtually. This role also involves developing and maintaining relationships with various internal and external stakeholders, including faculties, target institutions and external partners.

The Person

Educated to degree level or possessing equivalent experience, ideally in Higher Education, you will have a strong understanding of Widening Participation practice and the issues relating to the progression of underrepresented student groups to Higher Education.

You will have excellent communication, stakeholder and presentation skills and can confidently engage with a wide range of people at different levels, internally and externally. You will possess strong project management and organisational skills, with an ability to effectively manage your workload ensuring work is completed on time and to a high standard. Finally, you will have strong IT and analytical skills, and are confident interpreting data to evaluate and measure the impact of projects in line with targets outlined in our Access and Participation Plan.

The team’s primary objective is to achieve agreed student recruitment targets and contribute to the whole University’s recruitment and admissions functions ensuring good ROI and a first-class student experience throughout the applicant journey.
