Job summary
We are seeking an experienced midwife to support the education of medical students during their rotation. You will be required to work flexibly teaching the medical students specific nursing skills.
The ideal candidate must have extensive practice experience in a maternity setting and post education qualification.
The post requires a dynamic & experienced Clinical Registered Midwife with demonstrable experience of educating others, leadership experience and an understanding of the challenges and priorities in the speciality for education and development.
We are looking for someone who is experienced in designing training packages, delivering training, supporting students and the future workforce and supporting interprofessional learning.
THIS POST IS A 12 MONTH SECONDMENT/FIXED TERM

The role also requires the post holder to:
One role will be hospital based at the Royal Derby Hospital and one post will be community based at the Coleman Health Centre in the Coleman Midwifery team.
Contribute to the organisation's wider vision and values and that of the wider Learning & Education Department
Be flexible and have experience in working with a wide range of learners.
Be clinical & have a visible presence as an educator, clinician and leader to role model excellence in care and lifelong learning in the clinical area.
Have relevant current experience working in the clinical setting & evidence to support the ability to provide coaching & mentoring others.
Liaise and work alongside clinicians of all levels and professions.
