Trainee Assistant Breeder (Permanent)Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with the preparation and provision of food for falcons under supervision, following established husbandry standards. • Support the daily care and general husbandry of falcons, ensuring their welfare and well-being at all times. • Assist in cleaning and maintaining breeding chambers, aviaries, and work areas to a high standard of hygiene and safety. • Learn to handle and care for imprinted falcons under guidance, with a focus on their future breeding potential. • Observe and assist with monitoring falcons’ health and behaviour, reporting any concerns to senior staff. • Support estate maintenance and related tasks as directed by the manager or senior team members. • Gradually take responsibility for a small number of falcons as skills and confidence develop. • Follow all health and safety policies, procedures, and biosecurity protocols at all times. • Assist with the upkeep of additional locations when required. • Undertake other reasonable duties within the scope of the role as requested by management. • Any tasks or responsibilities as requested by management within the scope of the position.
