Job Overview:
The Fitness Instructor is a part-time position located at the Civic Center, 5 Ashlawn Ave, Montgomery, IL, Ogden Point, 201 Ogden Falls Blvd, Oswego, and/or Boulder Point, 0 Boulder Hill Pass, Montgomery, IL. This position reports to the Recreation Supervisor – Fitness.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Ability to organize people, workout room, equipment, and supplies to successfully instruct a fitness class.
• Ability to create fitness class choreography and progression throughout the session.
• Ability to modify class for participants based on individual abilities and restrictions.
• Teach and motivate participants by being informative, positive, and enthusiastic.
• Positively communicate with fitness participants.
• Meet deadlines on availability forms and other administrative requests.
• Assist in marketing and promoting fitness program.
Skills and Qualifications:
• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• Preferred certification in Group Exercise with ACE, AFFA, ACM, or similar accreditation and/or experience of at least two years as a Fitness Instructor.
• Ability to work independently and as a team member of the fitness staff.
• Cycle/Spin, TRX/Suspension Training or Boxing/Kickboxing certification and experience a plus.

Hours:
Daytime, evening and weekends. Friday and Sunday morning availability a plus.
Rate: $21-$26/hour DOE
