JOB OVERVIEW
This year round position is responsible for the organization and implementation of day-to-day activities in the gymnastics program at our Boulder Point Facility located in Montgomery, IL.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & TRAINING
• Can be under 18 years of age and meet all applicable Illinois employment requirements for minors.
• Previous gymnastics experience preferred, either as a coach or gymnast.
• Preference will be given to candidates with experience working with children or participating in gymnastics, youth sports, recreation, or related activities.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
• Basic comprehension of gymnastics skills and techniques.
• Ability to assist with gymnastics instruction and activities under the direction of the Coordinator and/or upper-level coaching staff.
• Ability to follow instructions and implement changes or requests from coordinators and upper-level coaching staff.
• Ability to work appropriately and professionally with children and program participants.
• Understanding of the principles of customer service.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work cooperatively as part of a gymnastics staff team.
• Must obtain and maintain CPR, AED, First Aid, and DCFS Certifications, as applicable to the position and age requirements.
• Understand and exhibit behavior consistent with stated values of the District.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assist with teaching gymnastics programs under the direction and supervision of the Gymnastics Coordinator and/or upper-level coaching staff.
• Assist with demonstrations, activities, and instruction appropriate to the employee's level of training and experience.
• Assist with the supervision and engagement of gymnastics participants.
• Assist in the planning and execution of open gyms and special events.
• Assist in preparing and maintaining the gymnastics area and equipment.
• Assist in marketing and promoting the gymnastics program.
• Serve in a professional and courteous manner with the highest regard to the customer.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings as required.
• Follow all safety procedures and instructions provided by supervisory staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Coordinator and/or supervisor.

Hours: Evenings and weekends
Rate: $17-$19/hr DOE
