Job Overview:
The Limelight Instructor position is responsible for teaching a class, workshop, or camp in a specific area related to theatre for the Oswegoland Park District's Limelight Theatre Company. This position reports to the Cultural Arts Supervisor. Location and hours vary based on the class, workshop or camp.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Create or provide lesson content.
• Teach participants the specific content.
• Assist with integrating specialty area into current or future Limelight seasons.
• Considerable involvement in communicating with supervisor and other Limelight Theatre Company staff, participants and parents of participants.
• Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications:
• Experience in theatre, music, dance, education, or specialty areas such as creative writing, puppetry, art, sewing, etc.
• Possess effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Possess decision-making, conflict resolution, negotiation and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a team member of the Limelight Theatre Company and District staff.
• Understand and exhibit behavior consistent with stated values of the Park District.

Rate:
$15-$16/hour (DOE) $15-$16/hour (DOE)
