CNC Lathe Operator

Schedule: 1st Shift | Monday–Friday | 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
We are assisting a growing high-precision job shop specializing in complex, one-off and short-run parts in their search for a skilled CNC Operator who can program and run either a 5-Axis Mill and/or a live tooling CNC Lathe.

What You’ll Do
• Program, set up, and operate 5-axis milling machines and/or live tooling CNC lathes
• Work from solid models and complex drawings
• Optimize toolpaths for accuracy, efficiency, and surface finish
• Select tooling and work holding strategies independently
• Inspect your own work to tight tolerances
• Contribute ideas to improve processes and reduce cycle time
What We’re Looking For
• 5+ years CNC experience (5-axis and/or live tooling lathe preferred)
• Strong CAM programming skills
• Ability to run complex parts with minimal supervision
• Experience in a high-mix, short-run job shop environment
• Strong understanding of GD&T
• Ability to problem-solve and think ahead
• High level of accountability and pride in workmanship

Paid Time Off:
• 2 weeks vacation after the first 90 days (3 weeks after 1 year)

Physical & Work Environment Requirements
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate overhead cranes as needed.
• Comfortable standing or sitting for extended periods.
• Shop environment includes moderate noise and temperature control.
• PPE required: Steel-toe shoes and safety glasses.
