Get to Know the Role
You will report into assist General Counsel & Country Compliance manager (GrabFin Thailand) and driving legal and regulatory compliance functions for several financial businesses in Thailand (including payment, lending and insurance).
The Critical Tasks You Will Perform
Regulatory Compliance Advisory:
You will render regulatory compliance advice on all aspects of compliance, including BOT, AML, OIC, outsourcing, business continuity, and mandatory reporting requirements.You will support regulatory and scheme licensing efforts, including ensuring all required documentation, policies and reports are following regulatory and scheme expectations.You will help develop the country compliance program. This program includes Compliance policies, regulatory documentation, training logs, and related procedures. You will also maintain and implement this program for all assigned jurisdictions.You will work with operations and product teams to ensure enhancements in compliance processes are followed and play a driving role to implement system changes; andYou will assist our MLRO on daily compliance matters.Monitor, Controls and Governance:
You will help conduct compliance risk assessments and developing plans to address regulatory gaps and lead remediation efforts.You will be responsible for regulatory reportingYou will support external and internal auditsYou will support efforts in enhancing the incident reporting framework about Compliance breaches.You will coordinate with teams to implement risk mitigation strategies in main areas such as personal data protection, transaction monitoring, business continuity, and information security.You will update partners regarding important compliance risks. Help draft periodic reports/presentations to regulatory bodies and senior management forums.You will assist to identify potential/actual AML or regulatory risk issues such as the drafting of suspicious transaction reports, building on AML training programs, and the AML onboarding of different complex organizations.You will lead government relations activities to deepen ties with financial regulators and central banks.You will provide compliance training to staff on a periodic basis. What Essential Skills You Will Need
You have minimum 1 - 3 years relevant experience in a financial institution, financial regulator, FinTech company or audit firm in assuming legal, compliance, or risk management.Bachelor Degree in Law is preferred.You have legal analytical and risk assessment skills and the ability to extract insights.You demonstrated willingness to "get hands dirty" to face with any challengesYou can work independently and yet still be team-oriented.You have excellent written and communication skill in EnglishYou have a high ownership/responsibility on the assigned worksYou can apply a legal, practical and commercially sensitive mindset in developing creative solutions.
