Job Summary
Machine Operator. This position includes operation of various metalworking machinery (ex – press brakes, mills, lathes, saws, grinder, etc.) for the purpose of fabricating high precision parts.
Job Responsibilities
• Operation of metalworking machinery for forming, bending, turning, milling and/or cutting steel.
• Other metalworking positions include general labor for loading and unloading machines and deburring/grinding for manual weld spatter removal
• Perform routine operations including loading raw material and start-up/shut down of equipment
• Monitor machine performance regarding accuracy of quantity and quality output, making adjustments as needed
• Perform basic preventative and routine machine maintenance
• Manual assembly of product with use of manual and powered tools
• Proper stacking and protection of parts as required to maintain specified quality standard
• Ensure accuracy of parts produced by visual inspection and/or by use of standard inspection instruments (i.e., micrometers, calipers, etc.).
• Submit first and last piece production for Quality Control approval
• Enter data on production reports regarding shop orders worked on, quantity produced, time worked, etc.
• Follow and verify all instruction provided by work orders and customer blueprints
• Notify supervision of problems with equipment and/or tooling that may cause defects/lost time
• Comply with all safety practices and Company policies
• Perform basic housekeeping duties.

Qualifications
• Ability to accurately read blueprints, is a plus
• Prior metalworking, construction, or mechanical trade experience, is ideal
• Able to pass background check
• Ability to pass a physical examination for vision, hearing, and mobility

• Fast paced environment that includes constant standing
• Repetitive; moderate to heavy lifting up to 50 lbs
