About this role
We are looking for a reliable and skilled General Maintenance Technician to join our team at Novotel Malta Sliema. In this role, you will support the smooth daily operation of the hotel by ensuring that all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems are functioning safely and efficiently.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, has practical technical skills, and takes pride in maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for guests and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs across hotel facilities.
Maintain and repair mechanical equipment including pumps, engines, and tools.
Perform general repair tasks related to electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
Diagnose maintenance issues quickly and provide effective solutions.
Monitor stock of tools, spare parts, and maintenance supplies; report shortages.
Ensure all work is completed in compliance with health, safety, and hotel standards.
Provide support during emergencies and respond promptly to urgent repair needs.
Assist in implementing preventive maintenance schedules.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences.
Previous experience in general maintenance, ideally within hospitality or facilities management.
Strong technical knowledge in electrical, plumbing, or mechanical systems.
Ability to diagnose issues quickly and carry out hands-on repairs.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to high standards of safety, responsibility, and reliability.
Ideally fluent in both Maltese and English.
