Sales and Marketing Manager – Mercure Oradea (Opening Spring 2026)

Be part of the opening leadership team of Mercure Oradea, a contemporary midscale hotel featuring 90 rooms, four conference halls, a spa & wellness center, restaurant, and café.

As Sales and Marketing Manager, you will lead the hotel’s commercial strategy — combining proactive sales, strategic marketing, and communication to position Mercure Oradea as one of the city’s most attractive destinations for business, meetings, and leisure travel.

You will play a key role from the pre-opening phase through the hotel’s launch and beyond, creating visibility, building relationships, and driving revenue.

You will be responsible for:

Sales & Business Development

Develop and execute the hotel’s sales strategy for corporate, leisure, and MICE segments

Actively solicit and convert business from key accounts, achieving agreed revenue and market share targets

Prepare offers, quotes, and contracts, negotiating and closing deals effectively

Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, agencies, and event planners

Represent the hotel at trade fairs, roadshows, and promotional events locally and internationally

Conduct regular sales calls, site inspections, and familiarization trips

Marketing & Communication

Develop and implement the hotel’s marketing and PR plan in line with Accor brand standards

Oversee online presence, digital campaigns, and social media activity

Coordinate the creation of visual and promotional materials, ensuring consistent messaging

Build partnerships with local businesses, tourism bodies, and media outlets

Support revenue-generating campaigns and promotional initiatives

Revenue & Forecasting

Work closely with the Revenue Manager to optimize pricing, channel mix, and market positioning

Monitor performance and competitor activity to identify business opportunities

Contribute to business planning, budgeting, and sales forecasts

Pre-Opening Responsibilities

Establish the hotel’s sales database and local partnerships

Support system setup (CRM, rate structures, contracts, pricing)

Lead pre-opening promotions, awareness campaigns, and early business generation

Minimum 3 years of experience in hotel sales, with leadership or supervisory experience

University degree in Business, Marketing, Tourism, or related field

Strong knowledge of corporate, leisure, and MICE markets in Romania and the region

Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills

Proficiency in English and Romanian (spoken and written); additional languages are a plus

Familiarity with Accor sales tools, CRM, and digital marketing platforms is an advantage

Results-oriented, creative, and strategic mindset with attention to detail
