The Medical Office Manager (MOM) is responsible for the daily operational management of a medical practice or multiple practice sites, ensuring efficient, effective, and patient-centered services. This role oversees administrative and clinical support staff, coordinates workflow, and ensures compliance with regulatory, financial, and organizational policies. The Medical Office Manager serves as a key liaison between providers, patients, and leadership. A points system is used to place the MOM in a level 1-3 position. The points system assesses the number of clinics, providers and staff as well as additional responsibilities the MOM may be performing.
