Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work site environment: Cold/refrigerated. Work setting: Supermarket and meat department. Tasks: Clean meats to prepare for processing or cutting. Cut carcasses, sides and quarters. Prepare special cuts of meat ordered by customers. Cut, trim and prepare standard cuts of meat. Wrap and package prepared meats. Weigh meats for sale. Cut poultry into parts. Price meat products. Cut fish into steaks and fillets. Grind meats. Train meat cutters. Prepare special orders. Prepare special displays of meats, poultry and fish products. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Attention to detail. Hand-eye co-ordination. Employment terms options: Early morning. Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year. Employment terms options: Day. Weekend. Support for newcomers and refugees: Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports newcomers and/or refugees. Supports social and labour market integration of newcomers and/or refugees (for example: facilitating access to community resources, language training, skills training, etc.).
