We are seeking an experienced and driven Assistant Headteacher – Pastoral to play a key role in leading behaviour, attendance, safeguarding and student welfare across our school.

This is an exciting opportunity for an established leader to join a committed senior leadership team and make a meaningful impact on outcomes for students with additional needs.

The Role

You will work closely with the Headteacher to lead the pastoral strategy and day-to-day running of the school, ensuring high standards of behaviour, attendance and safeguarding.

Key responsibilities include:

Leading on attendance, behaviour and pastoral support across the schoolActing as Designated Safeguarding Lead and promoting student welfareSupporting the strategic leadership and development of the schoolManaging and developing staff, including performance and CPDDriving high standards of pupil behaviour, engagement and outcomesUsing data to monitor performance and inform improvement strategiesSupporting day-to-day leadership and deputising where required About You

We are looking for a confident and resilient leader who can inspire staff and drive positive change.

You will have:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)Proven leadership experience within a school settingA strong track record of improving behaviour, attendance and pastoral provisionExperience within a SEN/SEMH environment (desirable)Excellent understanding of safeguarding and statutory requirements How to apply?
