Job summary
To provide a comprehensive secretarial service to the Consultant Psychiatrist and members of the medical team, assisting them in achieving their objectives and to liaise with all relevant and appropriate services. These objectives are to deliver a specialist clinical service for the Depression Research and Advice clinic (DRAC) as well as provide clinical cover for out-patient care, Ketamine and Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) treatments at the Oleaster, and to assist appointments of patients being considered for clinical trials, if required.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for undertaking a wide range of administrative and secretarial duties, which include the receipt of all correspondence, booking of new patient appointments, diary management, and organisation of meetings and attendance at MDT weekly meetings, and the clinics administration etc. The audio transcription and text processing of clinical letters, report and other correspondence as required by the medical team.
To act as a focal point of contact and be responsible for the dissemination of information, messages and enquires for the medical team, liaising with multidisciplinary team members, other health professionals and staff within the Trust, GP's, Social Workers, Service Users, Carers and any other appropriate external agencies.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE Essential
Significant admin/secretarial experience of working in a health or equivalent environment Significant experience of Microsoft Office including databases /Word/Outlook/Excel, Power point/Publisher

Experience in working with people who suffer with Mental Health or other related problems
SKILLS Essential
Ability to audio-type, work under pressure and work alone or as part of a team
TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS Essential
Educated in English GCSE (level 4 or above) or equivalent AMSPAR Diploma, Medical Administration or Medical Terminology Qualification
