Would you like to join the forward thinking Therapy Team working on the Orthopaedic and Trauma Wards at Wirral University Teaching Hospital?
There is one full time role available. Can you work as part of a team, being flexible and adaptable with good organisational skills? Are you reliable and conscientious?
Would you like to join the team in a physically demanding role, working under the supervision of HCPC registered staff, to support the smooth running of the service as part of a seven day service focused on patient centred care?
The role requires NVQ Level 2 in a relevant healthcare topic, or experience to an equivalent level, along with basic computer and manual handling skills.
Good oral and written communication will be supported by numeracy and literacy qualifications and an empathetic approach to patients.
Main duties of the job
To work under the supervision of a qualified Therapist (OT, Physiotherapy) To support the smooth running of the Therapy team by performing a range of routine clinical clerical, administrational, housekeeping and departmental tasks. To work directly with the therapists, or to carry out delegated duties. To carry out routine treatment plans and activities, prescribed by the Therapists. To participate in providing 7 day services and extended working day, as required by the service. To work with the Therapists to ensure that they deliver the principles of patient centred care.
