Job summary

Assistant Patient Pathway Administrator

Ophthalmology

37.5 hours- Band 3

We are seeking to appoint a full time assistant patient pathway administrator to join our friendly team within Surgical Ophthalmology. The post will be based at the John Radcliffe Hospital in the West Wing.

This post is crucial to the on-going development of the Ophthalmology service and would suit a candidate who has excellent organisational and communication skills. You will be expected to liaise with staff and colleagues at all levels. You will have proven administration skills with the ability to prioritise and manage your own workload to tight deadlines. You will need to demonstrate initiative and flexibility in your approach and be able to work in a pressurised and busy environment. The successful candidate will also manage each patient's pathway in a timely and efficient manner.

Knowledge of the Trust's Electronic Patient Record System (EPR) and knowledge of elective access standards would be an advantage but not essential as training will be given.

This position requires the demonstration of strong organisational skills and the ability to work on your own initiative as well as being a team member. If you are self-motivated, enthusiastic and keen to join our team then we would encourage you to apply.

Education & Professional Qualifications Essential

Good Basic educational qualifications (5 or more GCSE's including English and Maths Grade c or above) or equivalent qualifications

Experience and Skills Essential

Administration Experience Competent Computer Skills
