Job summary
We are seeking to appoint a dynamic individual within the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology at Maidstone & Tunbridge Wells Hospitals.
This is a locum consultant post, fixed term for 12 months in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, based at Tunbridge Wells Hospital,l pending a substantive appointment. This post is in response to the expansion of maternity services, supporting our CQC maternity improvement plan and recovery of gynaecology services. The candidate will be expected to integrate within the team of existing Consultants and to provide a complete Obstetrics and Gynaecology Service.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will work at both sites of the Trust, providing emergency and on-call cover. We have a weekday hot week on call between 8 am and 6 pm.

Full GMC registration MRCOG or appropriate specialist qualification MBBS or equivalent Labour ward ATSM or Equivalent At least one gynaecology or equivalent of the desirable criteria Entry on Specialist Register (CCT or entry expected within 6 months of interview date)

ATSM in benign Gynaecology ATSM in benign Urogynae ATSM in benign gynaecological surgery: hysteroscopy Accredited Coloposcopy
Experience/Knowledge Essential
Evidence of competence in gynaecological surgery for benign disease and emergency gynaecology surgery Evidence of competence in undertaking C-sections Evidence of competency in managing and treating emergency gynaecology cases Ability to take independent responsibility for the clinical care of patients Evidence of experience working within a multidisciplinary team
Desirable
