Rotational Clinical/Rotational Specialist Pharmacist - Hinchingbrooke & Peterborough
Are you looking for the next step in your pharmacy career? We have an opportunity to join our rotational pharmacist team on our band 6 and band 7 pathway. You will work as part of the multidisciplinary team in the hospital where you will be involved in the delivery of a variety of clinical and core services provided by the pharmacy department.
The pharmacy department at North West Anglia Foundation Trust are keen to create an environment in which we are able to nurture and grow our own talent. With this objective in mind we have developed a progression programme which supports the progression of our Rotational band 6 pharmacists into band 7 posts. This is implemented through a structured competency programme which band 6 pharmacists can enrol on enabling their progression to Rotational band 7 without the need for additional recruitment process, if the requirements of the programme are met.
You will be expected to participate in the in-house training and the competency assessment programme. The opportunity to study for the Post Graduate Diploma in General Pharmacy Practice and Non Medical Prescribing is also available to a successful candidate.

Main duties of the job
Duties will include a ward pharmacist role to an assigned ward, dispensary work, medicines information, aseptic services and provision of pharmaceutical services to external community sites, therefore the ability to drive within the locality is essential.
You will be expected to participate in the in-house training and the competency assessment programme. The opportunity to study for the Post Graduate Diploma in General Pharmacy Practice is also available to a successful full-time candidate.

Person Specification
Education and Qualifications Essential
Pharmacy degree from recognised university Registration (or eligible for registration) with General Pharmaceutical Council with registration maintained during entire period of employment Commitment to continuing professional development Certificate in Clinical Pharmacy or equivalent (for Band 7)
Desirable
Non-Medical Precribing qualification (for band 7) Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy or equivalent
Experience Essential
Demonstrable evidence of competence in post-registration clinical pharmacy practice e.g. clinical ward activity (for band 7) Proven experience in audit work - data collection and presentation (for band 7) Demonstrate understanding of the principals of medicines optimisation (for band 7) Experience of clinical pharmacy services in a range of specialties/settings (for band 7)
