At NWAFT we foster a learning environment, support Radiographers to identify their development needs, give them opportunities to move between specialties and find their niche.
Main duties of the job
Produce high quality diagnostic images and provide high quality patient care to the service users adhering to national guidelines and taking into account relevant legislation including, but not limited to, the Ionising Radiation (Medical Exposure) Regulations (IR(ME)R) 2017 and The Ionising Radiation Regulations 2017 (IRR17).
The post holder will participate in all areas of the clinical rota to include dental, theatre, accident and emergency, orthopaedics, endoscopy, mobile procedures, paediatrics, fluoroscopy and CT, working independently and unsupervised. The ability to prioritise the workload is essential. Provide leadership, motivation and training for junior staff.

Education & qualification Essential
GCSE & A level equivalent HCPC Registration DCR or BSC Hons
Key Skills Essential
Keyboard skills Ability to clearly communicate and relate information concisely
Experience Desirable
Mentor coaching experience Minimum of 2 years NHS experience
Knowledge Essential
Knowledge of local NHS targets and initiatives Knowledge of CRIS and PACS Knowledge & application of IR(ME)R 2017
