Are you a Surgical Recovery Nurse with experience in post-anaesthetic or perioperative care, looking for additional weekend work? Here at 18 Week Support, we have an exciting opportunity to support a well-established NHS Trust in the West Midlands area within a busy Urology Surgery service.

Main duties of the job
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high standards of post-operative care within the recovery area following urology procedures. Assess, monitor, and care for patients recovering from anaesthesia, ensuring patient safety and comfort at all times. Monitor and record patient observations, escalating any clinical concerns appropriately. Work collaboratively with theatre, anaesthetic, and ward teams to ensure safe patient handovers and continuity of care. Maintain accurate patient documentation and provide compassionate, patient-centred care throughout the recovery process.
Requirements:
Registered Nurse with valid NMC registration. Current experience working within a surgical recovery setting for a minimum of 6 months within the last 12 months. Proven NHS experience. Experience working within surgical wards or urology environments is desirable. Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary ward team.
