Job summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join the team providing clerical support and appointment bookings for the Radiology department based in Glangwili Hospital.

This is a permanent job 30 hours per week.

The Radiology Department at Glangwili Hospital is a busy and varied department. Working with us you will be supported and encouraged to reach your full potential within the team. The Department provides a range of diagnostic imaging services to the community.

Main duties of the job

As part of the clerical team, you are the first person that our service users encounter therefore, you must possess excellent communication and organisational skills, and be able to prioritise your workload and meet deadlines.

The position involves a range of clerical duties including meeting and greeting the service users at the reception area, booking appointments and any other clerical duties required to provide the best service possible for the service users and community.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Person Specification

Qualifications and Knowledge Essential

Level 3 qualification or equivalent with relevant experience Experience of working in an administrative environment

Desirable

Working knowledge of Windows-based application e.g. Microsoft Word

Experience Essential

Experience of working within an administrative role Organisational skills with an ability to plan own workload and meet any deadlines Dealing with the public and experience of answering telephone calls and responding to queries The ability to work under pressure and to remain calm at all times
