We are delighted to offer four Band 5 Registered Nurse opportunities across our Gynaecology Division at the Rosie Hospital:
o 3 posts - Clinic 24 (Early Pregnancy & Emergency Gynaecology Unit)o 1 post - Daphne Ward (Inpatient Gynaecology)
These roles provide an excellent opportunity to develop specialist knowledge while delivering high quality, compassionate care to women and families during some of the most sensitive moments of their lives.
This role is well suited to nurses who enjoy building ongoing therapeutic relationships and developing strong surgical and inpatient care skills.
Working Pattern
Both areas operate 7 day services, and you will be expected to participate in long day and weekend shifts.o On Daphne Ward, night shifts are also required.o Within Clinic 24, there is an expectation to participate in late shifts and the on call rota.

Main duties of the job
Clinic 24 - Early Pregnancy & Emergency Gynaecology Unit
Clinic 24 is a specialist emergency and early pregnancy service supporting women experiencing early pregnancy complications, acute gynaecological concerns, and those undergoing termination of pregnancy.
Key responsibilities:
o Clinical assessment of women presenting with early pregnancy or gynaecological symptomso Supporting triage both face to face and via telephoneo Administering medications and monitoring patientso Performing venepuncture and cannulationo Supporting the management of miscarriage and termination of pregnancy careo Developing advanced communication and counselling skills, including supporting women and families through difficult conversations and breaking bad news with empathy
Daphne Ward - Inpatient Gynaecology
Daphne Ward is a 14 bedded inpatient ward with an additional 5 day case beds, caring for women undergoing elective benign/reproductive gynaecology, gynae oncology, and uro gynaecological surgery. The ward also provides dedicated spaces for women undergoing medical management of miscarriage or termination of pregnancy up to 18 weeks.
Key responsibilities:
o Completing admission assessments and EPIC documentation within required timeframeso Assessing and managing pain, including administering prescribed analgesiao Providing high quality pre operative and post operative careo Supporting women undergoing medical management of miscarriage or termination of pregnancy
