Candidates are invited to apply for the post of Consultant Cardiologist with specialist interest in Heart Failure and Devices.
The post will be based at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, London which is part of Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust, providing high quality care to patients across the London boroughs of Lewisham, Greenwich and Bexley.
Main duties of the job
This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dedicated, enthusiastic team to develop and provide high quality services. The successful candidate will lead and develop the heart failure service, working with colleagues within the Trust and specialist teams in the community. They will also contribute to the expansion of the simple and complex cardiac implantable electronic device service. Inpatient cardiology care and specialist referral advice is provided with colleagues via a Cardiologist of the week rot

All candidates must be eligible for full GMC registration and be within 6 months of their Certificate of Completion of Training of the interview date.

Qualifications Essential
oMB BS or equivalent oMRCP or equivalent oEntry on the General Medical Council (GMC) Specialist Register Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) (the proposed CCT date must be within 6 months of the interview) b) Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration (CESR) o Completion o oSub-specialty training in Complex Device Therapy and Heart Failure o Completion of Accredited UK Coronary Intervention Training Program

oBroad based training and experience in cardiovascular medicine oEvidence of advanced training in sub-specialty oAbility to offer expert clinical opinion on a range of problems relating to Cardiology oAbility to take full and independent responsibility for the clinical care of patients.
