Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Foundation Administrator within the Medical Education Department at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals.
The successful candidate will ensure the delivery of the Foundation Training Programme at STH as directed by the Foundation Training Programme Directors and the Deanery.
Lead on the administration of curriculum delivery, effectiveness of the Foundation eportfolio including ARCP, and management of trainee rotations throughout the programme.
Be the first point of contact for advice on all matters relating to the delivery of the Foundation Programme at STH including expenditure relating to curriculum delivery.
Represent the Trust at external meetings with the Deanery and other providers and deputise for the Foundation Programme Directors and the Medical Education Manager ensuring that the interests of the Foundation Trainees and STH are effectively represented.
Main duties of the job
To devise, organise delivery, monitor and assess the progress of Foundation Trainees through the programme to ensure attainment of all Foundation competences and ensure that all the requirements of the curriculum are met. Identify and escalate any issues to the Training Programme Directors and/or Medical HR, taking responsibility to ensure that the Trainees are appropriately supported.
Provide specific Medical Education advice and support to medical staff, supervisors, managers, rota organisers and other professionals on the implementation of Trust policies and procedures that relate to medical education and Deanery policies and their interpretation at STH.
