Job summary
We are seeking qualified radiographers, registered with HCPC, who can provide support to the hospital and patients being treated.
Duties are mainly:
Intraoperative flouroscopy/C-arm use Post-operative imaging
Main duties of the job
The Radiographer is a member of the care team appointed to support the theatre team post operatively. The post holder will undertake a range of activities including but not limited to diagnosis using medical equipment, analysis and report any concerns to the appropriate consultant.
Duties Include:
Help promote and maintain an environment conducive to meeting the needs of the patient / relatives and carers.
Contribute to a team approach to patient care in conjunction with all members of the multidisciplinary team.
All team members are responsible for behaving in a manner that does not put themselves, patients, visitors and other team members in danger or at risk in the clinical environment.
Be an advocate for change, looking for ways to improve the value and effectiveness of care and services delivered.

Compliance with KINVARA Policies and Procedures relevant to this role, ensuring you are fully aware of your responsibilities within these policies. Ensure effective communication channels are maintained across all areas of the hospital. To assist in the maintenance of ward cleanliness and tidiness and always adhere to infection control policy and procedures. To keep up to date with all mandatory training. Using radiographic equipment, including portal x-ray equipment during surgical interventions. Monitoring the radiographic equipment/ supplied and ensuring any issues are reported and adequate supplies are in place. Analysing and reporting the results of x-rays to doctors. Knowledge of medical procedure and medicine. Proficiency in the use of computers and software packages used. Ability to work independently, but also as part of a healthcare team. Sensitivity and understanding towards patients during procedures and ensuring privacy and dignity.
