You will work closely with a range of surgical MDTs, supporting staff, maintaining high clinical standards, and ensuring safe, effective care for our patients.
Main duties of the job
As a Band 6 Team Leader, you would play a clinical role whereby the post holder will be responsible for the provision of quality patient care through clear clinical leadership.
- To be a clinical expert and ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care centred in promoting patient safety in the unit.
- To promote and ensure continued development of the service in line with Trust, local and national initiatives.
- To effectively manage and lead the nursing team and work proactively with the multidisciplinary team in conjunction with the Ward manger.
- To provide effective leadership and direction over unit staff and deputise for the ward manager in their absence.
- To act as a resource and have specialist interest in teaching and development of the nursing staff whilst ensuring mandatory and in house training is maintained.
