19.5 hours per week, Wednesday - Friday 8.30am -3.30pm
NJC 5 £13.26 per hour

We are seeking to appoint a caring, committed and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our dedicated team from September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to support children with additional needs, work alongside experienced colleagues and make a genuine difference to children's lives each day.
This role would particularly suit someone who is passionate about inclusion, committed to helping every child succeed and enjoys supporting pupils who require additional support, including those learning English as an Additional Language (EAL).
The post will involve:
The successful candidate will work as part of our dedicated support team, helping pupils to access learning, develop confidence and make strong progress both academically and personally.
The role will include:
Supporting individual pupils and small groups to access learning and make progress
Working alongside teachers to create a safe, purposeful and inclusive learning environment
Delivering and reviewing targeted interventions, including reading and phonics support
Supporting pupils' social, emotional and personal development
Providing intimate care where required
Working collaboratively with teachers, parents and external professionals to support pupil success
We are looking for someone who:
Has a commitment to supporting the Catholic ethos of the school.
Can demonstrate experience of working in a school setting.
Has experience of working with children who have English as an additional language.
Shows a commitment to helping children.
Can demonstrate the ability to show initiative and adapt to the needs of the role.
Is able to work well as part of the team.
