About this role
St Patrick’s is a friendly, Catholic primary school situated in a wooded setting in Farnborough. We are seeking to appoint a full time caretaker to join our dedicated team.
The scope of this role is varied and you will be managing the whole school site. Responsibilities include general maintenance and repairs, decorating, setting up and clearing away equipment, portering, grounds maintenance and securing buildings. A driving licence would be an advantage.
You will also be responsible for undertaking regular health and safety checks (training provided). The successful candidate will need a “can do” attitude, good communication skills, to be security conscious and be able to work collaboratively and flexibly. Successful candidates will usually start at the bottom of the grade of the post they are applying for. The pay point is dependent on experience and qualifications and the position of Site Manager, paid at a higher pay scale, would be considered depending on experience.
The start date can be adjusted dependent on the availability of the right candidate, but can be no later than 1st September 2026.
