Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic, organised and proactive Assistant Practice Manager to join our friendly and well-established primary care team.
This is a 7-month maternity cover position (with the potential to extend), starting mid to late October. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to further develop their leadership and operational management skills within a supportive and forward-thinking practice.
This is a varied and rewarding role supporting the Practice Manager in the day-to-day operational running of the practice. You will play a key part in ensuring high-quality patient services, smooth operational delivery, and ongoing service improvement.
You will initially work alongside the current Assistant Practice Manager before their maternity leave, ensuring a smooth handover and continuity of service.
We are looking for someone who is:
Experienced in primary care or healthcare management
A confident team leader with strong organisational skills Able to prioritise and manage a varied workload independently An excellent communicator with a proactive, solutions-focused approach Passionate about improving patient services and team performanceExperience using EMIS and/or Docman would be advantageous.
