Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Peterborough Renal Community Team, for a Band 6 deputy sister. You will need to be a 1st level registered nurse with at least 18 months post registration experience, ideally in renal/ community nursing, though full training will be given.
You will work as part of a team of nurses and the wider MDT in planning, delivering high quality care for a variety of patients, The work will include the training, ongoing care of patients on peritoneal and haemodialysis dialysis within the community. As well as counselling pre dialysis patients.
The Community team is based in the dialysis Unit. You will need to be able to work on your own. You need to have excellent communication skills, as well as good organisational skills.
The Renal Community Team is an innovative and forward thinking area, and offers a unique opportunity to further develop specialist nursing and audit skills
Evidence of CDP within the last 12 months is essential. You will need to demonstrate evidence of recent experience and proficiency in 1 or more forms of renal replacement therapy.
An expectation of being on-call working across the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust renal network on a rota basis
