Main duties of the job Are you an experienced Maintenance Person who would like to use your skill set in a rewarding work environment with our welcoming and specialised support team at Cheriton care home? As a Maintenance Person, you will be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the building and grounds, ensuring they comply with health and safety requirements. Tasks include repairs, painting, decorating, grounds maintenance, plastering, and fixing doors and windows. Safety is paramount, so ensuring the care home is safe for all residents is crucial. If repairs cannot be handled internally, the Maintenance Person will coordinate with the head office to manage contractor involvement. Working 24 hours per week over 3 days, employees enjoy £12.72 per hour salary, a refer-a-friend scheme with potential £1000 earnings, career development, training opportunities, and a pension scheme. You will be responsible for the maintenance of the building and grounds in line with health and safety requirements You will assess and undertake repairs including painting and decorating, grounds maintenance, plastering, repairing doors and windows. If work cannot be completed internally, you will liaise with our head office team to refer the repair to a contractor. Safety is paramount, so you will ensure that the care home is safe for all of our residents.
